The background of my oil painting

In the cold Steppe pastoral areas, herdsmen ride horses every day, and I also began to ride horses and painting horses from 1967 to Mandu.

The ecology of Mandu Steppe is still intact:

I used to ride horses herding and painting in Mandubaolige for many years

Chen Jiqun and Yang Gang ride horses in Nailin Gole 1968 :

I went to Mandu Baolige, East Ujumchin Banner in the winter of 1967, snow grassland to the horizon, minus 20 degrees.

Go out, grazing must ride. The herdsman gave me an old white horse.

I went to the herd to find a wrangler to change horses, and drew the first picture of a black horse outside the wrangler's yurt. In the following years, I grazed, rode every day, and often drew horses, herdsmen, and grasslands.

The area of East Ujumchin Banner is larger than Switzerland, the Netherlands and Denmark, and the Mandu Baolig in the northeast is rich in wildlife species and about 700 species of native plants. The ecology of the Mandu grassland is intact, because the local Mongolian herdsmen account for the vast majority, and the nomadic folk customs have not changed.

I have drawn about a thousand sketches of life there and organized them into nearly a thousand oil paintings, among which horse paintings are listed below:
